No.

Do I own the number?
Using a number from Word Dial Numbers mean that you enter into a licensing agreement that states you do not own the number and cannot move the number at any time. We are offering full licensing rights for each number in specific marketing areas, zones, or geographical areas which are billed at predefined costs.  You will receive use of the number in your assigned marketing area as long as your service is not interrupted by failure to pay.

How am I billed?
No payments are due or accepted upfront.  You will receive your invoice each month by email or mail (your choice).  We also offer monthly automatic credit card payments or payment by corporate check.

How can I use more than 7 digits in my number?
Phone digits beyond 7 are called trailing digits and don't effect dialing.  For example, 800-WORD-DIAL is 8 letters (WORD DIAL) with 1 trailing digit (the 5 key or the letter L).  When someone calls the number it simply starts ringing once they've entered the 7th number and ignores the additional digits.

How can I cancel?
Simply submit your written request to cancel by email or mail. Once processed you will receive an email confirmation with your effective cancellation date pursuant to the terms of the Word Dial Number Usage Agreement.

How can I get a toll free number?

How does shared usage work?
Some of our Premium numbers like 800-ASK-A-PRO and 800-CALL-JAMES are shared use numbers that have marketing areas assigned to users.  This means that even if an attorney in Atlanta Georgia uses 800-CALL-JAMES you can still use the numbers in other areas.   Why would an attorney in Georgia want calls from areas they don't and can't service?  The concept of shared usage also saves you money on long distance from areas you don't service.

What is a vanity toll free number?
A vanity toll free number is also known as a custom toll free number, a vanity number, a word dial number, a phone word, or a mnemonic easy to remember number that spells and means something or it contains an easily recognized numeric pattern.  It often incorporates words, abbreviations, or acronyms in place of numbers.  For example, the lettes in 800-Flowers correspond to the numbers 800-356-9377 on your phone's dial pad.

Word Dial Numbers (vanity numbers) are recognized as one of the most powerful business, branding and marketing tools with the ability to generate 30-60% higher response rates to direct response advertising.  This is attributed to the ease of memorability compared to regular phone numbers especially when consumers only have a few seconds to take take them in.

What is the per minute cost of each call?

When I sell by business can I transfer the right I have in the Word Dial Numbers number to the buyer?
Yes. Absolutely.  The number, and the branding you have created with it actually become assets of your business.  These increase the value of your company should you desire to sell it.  The more you advertise your new Word Dial Number, the more value you will build into your business.

Where should I advertise my word dial vanity number?
You should advertise anywhere potential customers will begin to memorize your number through repeated exposure.  Many businesses start with vehicle signage, storefront signs, pens and "giveaways" and direct mail.   Eventually you will want to consider the impact the number will have for traditional advertising such as billboards, radio, television, print, newspaper, and Yellow Pages.

Why do I need a toll free number if all my calls are local calls?
Toll free numbers offer an easy way for your existing and new customers to contact you.  See the list of word dial vanity number benefits.

Why should I use a word dial vanity number?
People are not easily able to remember a series of digits.   This is why the website name for Microsoft is not 23.100.122.175.  Our website names are easy to remember words, not numbers.  The same goes for advertising a telephone number.  Easy to remember word dial vanity numbers such as 800-PUROCLEAN, 866-OPTIONS or 855-TRAPPER makes it simple for potential customers to contact you without having to search for your number.

Will I be required to purchase new telephone lines or equipment?
No.

Will my number work with my call center?
Yes.  We will work with you to insure compatability.

Will pricing ever increase?
Word Dial Numbers will not increase the fixed monthly fee during the first two (2) years of the Agreement.   Thereafter, Word Dial Numbers has the right to increase the monthly fees to no more than 3% in any one year.
